It is my pleasure to share that I've cleared the NET exam in June, 2012.

World Wide Virtual Conference Library 2.012

I am presenting a paper on "Evolving Role of Librarian" in the World Wide Virtual Conference Organized by San Jose University, California on Oct 03 to 05, 2012. It is very nice & new experience to participate & present in the virtual conference. The advancement of Technology &It's usage is amazing!!

Library Science Celebration

I would like to share 5 Happy moments at Our Library in this year..
My Library Assistant A.Alagu Muthammal has cleared C.L.I.Sc exam with First Class(69%).
My Library Assistant P.Vijayalakshmi has cleared B.L.I.Sc exam with First Class (60%).
My Library Assistant S.MuthuKumari has cleared B.L.I.Sc exam with Second Class (58%).
My Assistant Librarian A.Arunachallam has cleared M.L.I.Sc exam with First Class (67%).
I am very proud to share this..
& At last, I've cleared NET exam conducted by UGC.

N LIST Awareness Programme

          N LIST Awareness Programme has been organised for our staff on 04/09/2012. The Chief Guest, Dr.A.Thirumagal, Librarian, Manomaniam Sundaranar University has visited Our College & has said that 50 crores worth of E Resources available in NLIST via internet. She has done a demo on " How to search in NLIST , How to use Advanced Search" through online with LCD projector. This was very Useful & Informative to our staff.

             After the programme was over, Mam has taught me "Bibexcel" Software & how to analyse by using this software. 

Librarian Day Celebration

We have celebrated the Librarian day with Skit on Library is the "Store House of Knowledge" , Open Quiz, Book Review & Magazine Review by the Students. It was enjoyed by the Students. So that, It reached the students.

ADISSER-2012

     I have participated in the National Level Seminar on "Advancement in Digital Information Sources and Services for Education and Research" (ADISSER-2012) on 19 Thursday, July 2012 at National College of Engineering, Maruthakulam, Tirunelveli.

      It was really useful to me. There, I have learned about Bibexcel software & Citation Index, h index.
These concepts are new to me.

Fresher Orientation Programme

            On 26/06/2012, Fresher Orientation Programme has been conducted for the first year students. All Library staff have been introduced to them. We have explained about the importance and pleasure of the Reading Habit. We have given instructions regarding Library resources, services, rules & regulations of the Library and the issue of Library cards, it's importance & usage.
